El fenómeno Mini parece no tener fin. Las dos generaciones del Mini (2001 y 2006), sus respectivas variantes cabrio (2004 y 2008), la aparición del Clubman, en 2007, y la llegada del Countryman, en septiembre de 2010, han permitido al grupo BMW alcanzar un total de 1,8 millones de unidades vendidas entre 2001 y 2010.
De hecho, salvo en 2006 -momento en el que lanzaron la segunda generación- y en 2009 -temporada marcada por grave crisis- el número de Minis comercializados ha ido en aumento año tras año.
